Inspecta Oy is a notified body (number 0424) in the European Union for the Pressure Equipment Directive, Simple Pressure Vessel Directive, and directives concerning non-automatic weighing instruments, vehicles serving lifts and devices for lifting personnel. Inspecta (Electrical Inspection Fimtekno) notified body (number 0599) Directive for lifts (95/16/EC) Machinery Directive (89/392/EEC) concerning type-examination for vehicles serving lifts and devices for the lifting of persons Construction Products Directive (89/106/EEC) Cableway installations designed to carry persons (2000/9/EC)
Besides inspections defined in European directives, we also act as a third party in other inspections. This enables us to verify the quality of a company’s operations and products.
Inspecta Oy shows the qualification for inspection, measurement and certification with the accreditation given by FINAS (Finnish Accreditation Service) for our main business areas, for example to inspect and certify pressure vessels, boilers and weights and measures.
We are qualified to perform pressure vessel inspection and certification in accordance with several foreign codes.
With the help of metrological traceable measurement services offered by Inspecta, customers are able to ensure the accuracy and reliability of readings produced by measuring instruments. In the inspection of non-automatic weighing instruments we operate as a notified body in accordance with EU directives.
Inspecta's main clients are pressure vessel and boiler manufacturers, process industry, nuclear and conventional power plants, offshore industry, installation companies pipeline- and oil companies and buildings etc.
Inspecta Group has over 1000 fulltime employees, over 60 of them are qualified for the inspection of pressure vessels and boilers and over 115 of them for NDT. The inspecting personnel is highly educated, 70 % of them have university or other higher degree, mostly Master or Bachelor of Science (Engineering). We apply a qualification program complying with our own quality manual, which ensures the continuous development of our personnel’s professional skills. Our personnel’s profound expertise and long experience of inspection and NDT- activities ensure that our services are efficient and defined time schedules are met. Our strengths also include international know-how and an extensive network of 27 district offices in Finland and one office in Tallinn Estonia. We are a member of the organisation of European inspection bodies CEOC (Confederation Européenne d'Organismes de Contrôle) and also member of AEAO (Association of European Assay Offices).
